The Mets Get Johan! (officially)

Just gotta shout out a bit to the Mets and give them credit for pulling off a monster of a trade. They managed to turn 4 young players into perhaps the best pitcher in baseball, Johan Santana.

I love this trade for so many reasons:

1. The Mets have a true ace who can dominate in the playoffs.

2. Santana is still in the prime of his career and they'll have him for 7 years.

3. If he's dominant in the AL, just imagine how good he'll be in the weaker NL.

4. They gave up almost nothing for him. The prospects may turn out to be solid players, but I'll take a Cy Young winner over "potential" any day!
