Getting Ready For Tax Season

Well it's just about time to start filling out your tax forms for 2007. W2s and 1099s will be on their way shortly and you you should (hopefully) already have your expenses and deductions organized. If not its time to get your act together so you're not scurrying around at the last minute.

You should also start preparing yourself for NEXT year's tax season. Keep up to date on changing tax laws in case a new tax credit or deduction that you can take advantage of is enacted. If you're making updates to your house, look into energy-related credits. the same goes for hybrid vehicles if you're in the market for a new car. And if your tax return is really big, consider lowering your tax withholding so you take home more money with each check.
